Tikal 2 Day Itinerary

Note: Tours and transports are shared with others. Bilingual guide.

DAY 1

4:00 am Transport from hotel/address in Antigua to airport
6:30 am Flight from Guatemala City to Flores
7:30 am Arrive Flores. Shared transfer to Tikal.
9:00 am Start group tour of ruins.   *** entrance fee included ***
(Tour: Complex Q Main Plaza, 7 temples, Lost World @ 3 - 4 hours).
1:00 pm LUNCH (beverage not included). If you return to Tikal Park, ask your guide for your ticket.
6:00 pm TIKAL PARK CLOSES. Bring a strong flashlight, as it is DARK after sunset.
10:00 pm Electricity / Lights out at the hotel and Tikal Park. Night in TIKAL. Private room with private bath. HOTEL TIKAL INN

DAY 2

6:00 am TIKAL PARK OPENS.
7:00 9:45 am Breakfast at hotel.
Free day in and around TIKAL (or at the hotel pool).
11:00 am Check-out of hotel, but safely leave bags there}.
2:30 pm Transfer Tikal to Flores airport from in front of your hotel.
4:50 pm Return flight for Guatemala City *** Q20. per person airport tax not included
5:45 pm Arrive Guatemala City. Transport to hotel/address in Antigua.

Day 1 - Tikal

4:00 am Private transport from hotel in Antigua.
6:30 am Flight from Guatemala City to Flores
7:30 am Arrive Flores. transfer to Tikal via Flores, with bilingual guide. History of the area with @ 45min of time visiting the island of Flores. Continue to Tikal, stopping in El Remate on the shore off Lake Peten Itza. Arrive in Tikal @ 11:00am. Check into hotel. Day at leisure.
1:00pm LUNCH at hotel (Beverages extra)
4:00pm Meet your bilingual guide for an afternoon tour of Tikal. (Explanation of the natural history and introduction to the site. Visit Complex Q, Complex R, Mayer Causeway, and the North Acropolis. Returning via the Plaza Mayor, there is an explanation of the Mayan ball game. Possible visit of Group F if time allows). *** Entrance fee not included  Q100. p/p
6:00 pm TIKAL PARK CLOSES. Bring a strong flashlight, as it is DARK after sunset.
7:00 pm Return to hotel.
10:00 pm Electricity / Lights out at the hotel and Tikal Park.

Day 2

4:00 am Sunrise tour with bilingual guide. (Sunrise on Temple IV - listening to the jungle sounds. Continue to Lost World and the area of 7 Temples, Temple V, the Central Acropolis and exiting through the Main Plaza).  *** Entrance fee not included  Q100. p/p
7:00 am Return to hotel. BREAKFAST at hotel.
11:00 am Check-out of hotel, but safely leave bags there}.
